Jennybird says of the exhibition, “This new body of paintings was born in a however instant in time, a person where the overall environment slowed down. In which my house, that we get in touch with “The Birdsnest,” and the garden around it turned my full world for a time.
Character often informs my artwork, and I was lucky enough to get pleasure from that character just outside my door, in the yard of wonderful trees, crops and flowers shared with squirrels and crows, track birds, bees and butterflies. At some level during this imaginative journey I experience like I packed up some of these outdoors inspirations and dragged them into “The Birdsnest” with me and a dialog in between interior and exterior commenced.
I like to line my inside “nest” with curiosities and talismans, symbols, images, styles and handmade objects. Possessing a ton of visual info inspires me. I like to established up tableaux involving objects inside of, so new associations and meanings can unfold before my eyes.
The evolution of “Minding the Beasts while Sprucing Pearls” occurred in the backdrop of my interior environment when the exterior backyard garden where by my creatures generally stay inserted alone, and a relationship of the two was formed.”
