ASHLAND, Ohio — Each and every spring, the Ashland University Coburn Gallery hosts the Senior Artwork and Design and style Exhibition that includes the capstone experience for graduating art majors.

Bringing together artwork created by graduating seniors in the Division of Artwork and Structure, the 2021 Senior Art and Style Exhibition will open Thursday, April 8 with an opening reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Coburn Artwork Gallery situated in the Center for the Arts on the Ashland University campus.

Social distancing will be practiced in the gallery, making it possible for teams of 10 or fewer at a time for the duration of the opening. Masks are needed.

The senior awards will be announced at 5:30 p.m. at the April 8 reception and on the gallery’s Facebook web page.

“While the 2021 Senior Artwork Exhibition gives the capstone working experience for graduating artwork and style and design majors, it represents much more than just students’ studio artwork experiences,” explained Cynthia Petry, director of the Coburn Gallery. “For these college students of the liberal arts, the exhibition is the fruits of their undergraduate professions at Ashland College.”

This year’s exhibition will operate by way of May 8 and will involve graphic style and design, illustration, electronic art and video.

Senior Artwork Exhibition artists are Noah Rau, Harlie Gregory, Taylor Mowry, Hannah Osborn, Tristan Peterman, Callandra Roddy and Aliya Ratliff.

Ratliff, from Tipp Town, will be graduating with a Bachelor of Wonderful Arts, with a focus in Illustration. Aliya Ratliff graduated from Tippecanoe Superior School though at the same time obtaining an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Sinclair Community School.

Ratliff is the daughter of Sylvia Adams and has participated in the Art Club, as effectively as doing work for equally the art department and AU recreational providers. Right after graduating, she ideas to continue creating art concentrated in illustration.
