George Rouy “Shit Mirror” at Peres Projects, Berlin

Peres Assignments is happy to present “Shit Mirror”, George Rouy’s (b. 1994 in Sittingbourne, Uk) next solo exhibition at the gallery.

Rouy’s canvases are stuffed with bodies, equally on your own and in groups. The figures could be multiples of by themselves – as shadows, reflections or twins. The moi getting projected and refracted, and a website for self-recognition.

These figures are partly bounded/contained, but typically the borders of the overall body are exploded, entities develop into entangled, and the attributes within are abstracted and distorted.
