Los Angeles Based VELVET STARLINGS Return with Music Video for ‘There’s Nobody There’

Following the launch of the perpetual movement video for “Won’t be able to Regulate” with its Billy Elliot-encouraged narrative, LA-based VELVET STARLINGS return with their hottest online video “There is certainly No person There,” a psychedelic ruby-hued pastiche of effectiveness, static visuals and above-saturated illustrations or photos.

Taken from the band’s 2021 critically-acclaimed debut Technicolour Shakedown which was released on vinyl this past February, “There’s No one There” grasps at a darker psychedelic groove and monitor, anchored by Harrison-esque or Byrds-styled twelve string guitar riffs. Equally EP’s charted in the leading 5 at Specialty Radio and strike #1 on KROQ’s “Locals Only.” Gisborne also caught the interest of, among other individuals, BBC Radio, Shepard Fairey, and The Kinks’ Dave Davies who all rely them selves as lovers of Velvet Starlings.

Talking about the album which hearkens neo-’60s garage - greatest described as beach front-fuzz-psych with a huge cheeky nod to the Uk Invasion, Gisborne says “in the doom and gloom of Covid I located myself reminiscing all the time about the times when we would hold out in line for hrs to see our most loved bands. The tunes on the 1st album mirror every little thing I felt I was lacking out on.”
